When my wife refused to acknowledge our daughter at the sports day, I divorced her on the spot Chapter 07

“…Li’s Jewelry, and those real estate companies—all the same. No more cooperation, ever.”

The spoiled Zhang heir, now named, suddenly threw himself to his knees, his forehead thudding against the plastic running track.
“Mr. Mu! My dad has a bad heart! Please, have mercy!”
Trembling, he pulled out his phone. On the video call, Old Mr. Zhang’s face was livid:
“You good-for-nothing! Keep bowing until Mr. Mu is satisfied!”
“Mr. Mu, please give us another chance. We really need your investment…”

Several others who had mocked me earlier, now called out by name, also went pale. One by one, they knelt down, begging for forgiveness.

Shengxing Group was the leading enterprise in Haiyun City. If it could collapse in an instant, their own small businesses would be nothing more than a snap of my fingers.
They were filled with bitter regret—how had they managed to offend me?

I swept my gaze over them, took the principal’s microphone, and addressed the crowd:
“You all accused me of being a gigolo, a freeloader trying to climb the social ladder, and you insulted my daughter, calling her a motherless child.”
I held up my marriage certificate with Liang Mei and a family photo of the three of us, making sure everyone could see.
“Let me make it clear: Liang Mei and I were married in 2018. This is our seventh year.”
“As for Zhu Yang, he is Liang Mei’s lover—the man she cheated with. In other words, he’s the other man.”

The crowd erupted in shock.
“Damn, he really is Liang Mei’s legal husband! How dare she flaunt her affair in public and even deny her own daughter!”
“And I thought she was a good mother! She’s not fit at all—rushing to be someone else’s mom while neglecting her own child.”
“She’s shameless, faithless, just awful.”

The harsh words cut through Liang Mei like knives.
Her face grew paler, her body trembling as if she’d been stripped bare under the sun, humiliated beyond belief.

“Ms. Liang, please sign these divorce papers.”
Meng Xuan placed two copies of the contract in front of her, urging her to sign.

Liang Mei glanced at the documents, then suddenly slapped them away. She threw herself at me, sobbing and begging:
“No, please don’t divorce me! Mu Jun, I was wrong, I love you… It was all Zhu Yang’s fault, he manipulated me! I would never have betrayed our family otherwise…”
“I love you, I love Tian-Tian, I love our home. Please, give me another chance!”

“Bullshit!”
Zhu Yang, stunned and furious, couldn’t help but shout back:
“Who was it at the reunion who said she could never forget how good I was in bed?”
He pulled out his phone and played a recording. Liang Mei’s breathy, flirtatious voice filled the air:
“Yang, Mu Jun is just a block of wood. If it weren’t for his money, I’d never have married him…”
The crowd jeered.
Several mothers hurriedly covered their children’s ears, but nothing could block Liang Mei’s explicit confession on the recording:
“Once Shengxing’s revenue is stable, I’ll divorce him. We’ll take Hao to the Maldives for our honeymoon…”

“That’s not true!”
Liang Mei lunged for the phone, but Zhu Yang  pushed her away.
She crawled on the ground, grabbing at my pant leg, tears streaming down her face, her once-perfect makeup now a mess.

The scene was chaotic, the air thick with shock and schadenfreude.
Liang Mei, once the queen of the business world, now lay broken, her reputation in tatters, her family lost, her future uncertain.

I looked down at her, my heart cold.
For my daughter and me, the nightmare was finally over.
A new life was about to begin.
